Tasmanian clubs, local government, associations and other not-for-profit providers of sport and active recreation are encouraged to apply for grants under the second round of the 2018-19 Sport and Recreation Minor Grants Program.

Through the Grants Program, the Hodgman Liberal Government is helping to support organisations to provide sport and recreation opportunities across the State, in areas they are needed most. Read More

In a major coup for Tasmania, Hobart will showcase more men’s T20 World Cup matches than any other host city, as we play host to six of the world’s leading men’s cricket teams.

I welcome today’s announcement by the ICC World Twenty20 of the first two teams to play in Hobart during the T20 World Cup, with Bangladesh and New Zealand taking to Bellerive Oval next year.  Further teams will be confirmed over the coming months through their qualifying tournaments. Read More
