Minister for Women
Nominations Open for Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women
Friday, 4 May 2018

Tasmania is a state full of exceptional women from a range of different backgrounds who share in their dedication and willingness to make a significant contribution to our state.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to empowering and promoting their hard work, while ensuring their achievements are never forgotten.

The Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women plays an important role in preserving the stories of women and women’s organisations, and is a chance for all to discover more about the contributions and achievements of Tasmanian women.

That is why I am calling on Tasmanians to nominate women and women’s organisations who have served their community and made an impact at a local, state, national or even international level.

To date, 295 nominations have been included on the Honour Roll including female scientists, Olympians, advocates and pioneers in their respective fields.

Applications must demonstrate how the nominee meets the selection criteria and be submitted by the 28th of September 2018.

As an advocate for equality, I will proudly announce the successful inductees on the 15th of March 2019 in Launceston.

More information about the nomination process can be found at http://www.dpac.tas.gov.au/divisions/csr/programs_and_services/tasmanian_honour_roll_of_women
