Hodgman Government delivering for older Tasmanians

Friday, 21st December 2018

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to improving the lives of all Tasmanians, especially our older Tasmanians through offering concessions to all eligible Seniors Card holders.

The 2019-2020 Seniors Card Directory, out today, includes a range of discounts to reduce cost of living pressures and to ensure older Tasmanians can live life to the full.

This includes energy concessions, discounts on fishing and game licenses, and free entry to our national parks.

There are more than 109,000 active Seniors Card holders in Tasmania, who can use their cards to benefit from discount offers at over 600 local and interstate businesses.

The new directory is available at a number of locations throughout the State, including Service Tasmania shops, libraries, visitor information centres, and electorate offices.

Now in its 25th year, the Seniors Card Directory gives a breakdown into various shopping categories, assisting with ease of use and to encourage older Tasmanians to be active in their local community.

The Seniors Card Directory wouldn’t be possible without the support of all the registered businesses, and I thank them for their ongoing commitment to improving the lives of older Tasmanians.
