The State Liberal team was proud to announce funding for the new Kingborough Twin Oval's Change Rooms and Function Centre on Monday as part of our program to deliver much needed recreational facilities to our local communities.

I have been working for some time to have change rooms built at the new Twin Ovals along with community members and Kingborough Council.

The $1.5 million needed to complete the 200 seat function room, toilets and change rooms at the Twin Ovals development will provide an outstanding and much needed facility for both the Kingborough Tigers Football Club and the Kingborough District Cricket Club.

 It will also provide a venue for a potential future Kingborough team in the State-wide league, and it is also envisaged that the ovals can be used for purposes beyond sport, such as a venue for future cultural events and festivals.

 I will continue to work to deliver real change in our local communities ensuring outer regional areas aren't forgotten.
