Jacquie Petrusma MP A major study on the needs of Tasmanians with neuromuscular conditions has revealed a service system that is disjointed and inequitable for sufferers and their carers. The "Getting in Touch" report surveyed more than 400 Tasmanians of all ages with conditions like multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, Huntington's and Parkinson's disease. Over 40 per cent of participants identified critical gaps in service delivery, with the majority concerned about the difficulties in accessing specialist neurologists.
