Minister for Women
Tasmanians Urged to Nominate Our Successful Businesswomen
18 April, 2015
The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to supporting women to play more active roles in government, business and the wider community.
That’s why, as Minister for Women, I am urging Tasmanians to consider nominating local businesswomen who are successful in their fields for the 2015 Telstra Business Women’s Awards.
Now in their 21st year, the awards provide an opportunity to recognise creative and passionate women who are achieving great things in the business world.
In doing so, they provide positive role models and encourage other women to strive to achieve their own goals.
Last year’s Tasmanian winner was the highest ranking woman in Tasmania Police history, a very deserving Assistant Commissioner Donna Adams.
The awards cover a number of categories and there are state and territory winners, who become finalists in the national awards, to be announced later in the year.
To nominate or enter the awards, go to www.womensawards.com or call the Telstra Australian Business Women’s Awards on 1800 817 536 for further information.
